Mercedes' first super charging station to be available in China

Mercedes-Benz has started construction of its 480 kW super charging stations, with the first one in the world expected to become operational in Chengdu, Sichuan province, in October.
The stations in major cities including Beijing and Shenzhen, Guangdong province, will be available within the year, said the German premium carmaker.
It said the charging network will be accessible to electric vehicles of other marques as well.
Mercedes-Benz released the plan on Friday at the Chengdu motor show, where it is showcasing a total of 27 models, including both new energy vehicles and gasoline ones.
Of them are the EQS, the EQE, the EQS SUV, the EQE SUV as well as models from Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach.
Besides electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, the carmaker launched three gasoline models at the event, including the GLB SUV, to meet demands of different customers for vehicles.
