China will support qualified foreign institutional investors to beef up investments in the Beijing Stock Exchange as part of a raft of measures to promote the high-quality development of the two-year-old exchange.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission said in a guideline on Friday that the commission will support the BSE in establishing international cooperation in certain aspects such as enterprises, investors and products.
Efforts will also be made to help the BSE develop a government bond market, enrich index-based investment products, reduce transaction fees and usher in more mid and long-term investors as well as market makers, the commission said.
