Chinese startup Leapmotor unveiled its latest vehicle architecture LEAP 3.0 and the first model built on it, the C10, on Monday at the IAA Mobility held in Munich, Germany.
The architecture features technologies including the cell-to-chassis, the oil-cooling electric drive, the SnapDragon 8295 chip-empowered smart cabin as well as lidar-based autonomous driving solutions.
Starting from the C10, the first model based on LEAP3.0 architecture, all Leapmotor will be designed and developed with a global mindset and adhere to global standards, it said.
Zhu Jiangming, chairman and CEO of Leapmotor, said the IAA Mobility marks the starting point of the startup's globalization strategy.
He said the company will launch five models built on the platform in two years for such markets as Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Americas.
Leapmotor said it took eight years of all-domain in-house development to evolve from the LEAP 1.0 to the LEAP 3.0.
The startup said it is open to technological cooperation, ranging from key components to whole-vehicle level.
Also, it collaborates with world-leading suppliers including Nvidia, ZF and Bosch, ensuring ongoing technological advancements.
"Openness, co-creation, and global collaboration are key to achieving rapid proliferation of intelligent electric vehicles," said Zhu.
"Looking ahead, Leapmotor is not only an automobile manufacturer but also a comprehensive provider of intelligent electric vehicle solutions," he said.
Established in 2015 and listed in Hong Kong in 2022, Leapmotor said it is one of the top three EV makers that have the full-suite in-house development capabilities.
