Lynk & Co unveils 08 SUV featuring China-made 7nm chip

Geely's premium arm Lynk & Co launched 08 SUV in Beijing on Friday, which features a number of industry-first cutting-edge technologies including China's first mass-produced 7nm chip.

The model is equipped with the EM-P extended-range electric powertrain, which generates a maximum output of 436 kilowatts and a peak torque of 905 Newton meters. It features a three-motor, four-wheel-drive configuration.

Available in five variants, the model can run up to 1,400 kilometers on one charge. Under the standard battery mode, it can run 1,200 km. With an 85 kW charging capacity, it only takes 28 minutes to charge from 30 to 80 percent.

The two-wheel-drive version of the Lynk & Co 08 has a low Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycle energy consumption of just 5.5 liters.

The SUV's body is 4,820 millimeters in length, 1,915mm in width and 1,685mm in height, with a wheelbase stretching to 2,848mm. Rear legroom can reach up to 935mm.

The Lynk & Co 08 is the first car to feature China's first self-developed automotive-grade 7-nanometer production chip, the Dragon Eagle-1, which can meet various intelligent demands within the cabin.

The model also is equipped with the all-new intelligent in-car system, Lynk Flyme Auto and Flyme Link solution, which allows smartphones and in-car systems to communicate and connect.

Featuring an industry-leading 28 high-perception intelligent hardware components, it includes front radar with a detection range of up to 280 meters and an 8 million-pixel front-view camera that links with high-precision maps.

This setup supports 30 intelligent driving functions at L2 plus level, with some features scheduled through over-the-air updates.
