Tourists flock to experience Dunhuang's history and charm

Dunhuang city in Northwest China's Gansu province has a long history and culture as well as charming natural scenery, attracting many tourists.
According to the local official data, the six major scenic spots in the city such as Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Mountain and Yueya Spring attracted 5.31 million tourists from home and abroad in the first eight months of this year, an increase of 26.95 percent compared with the same period in 2019, and a rise of 379.63 percent from a year earlier.
