As part of the Rampal power station project, the community is expected to be completed in November. It aims to provide a comfortable living environment for workers and maintain stable operations of the power station. The builder has employed 2,200 local residents.

Wei Hanqiang, who is in charge of the town project for China First Metallurgical Group Co, said the company hired local managers, engineers and workers to realize localized operation.

The power station, with an installed capacity of 1,320 megawatts, is one of the biggest power plants in Bangladesh.
