National vocational skills competition sets off this week

In some competitions that rarely involve female workers, young female participants were selected from provincial contests to have the opportunity to join the national competition.

Lou Dingyi, a 21-year-old participant from Southwest China's Guizhou province, is one of them.

She will be competing in the concrete construction category and said, "I am proud to compete with male participants and believe that women can have all the opportunities to succeed."

The country has inspired to foster leading vocational personnel and has launched the strategy to boost the skilled vocational personnel.

Li Ancai, director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, said: "Amid the revitalization of Northeast China, Liaoning has taken the lead to train top vocational personnel and has fostered up to 5.39 million persons and among them, 1.37 million have been designated as leading level ones."
