Trading on a culture of success

Over the past decade, Beijing has been focused on its role as a national cultural center and has been vigorously promoting the development of cultural consumption. The Beijing People Beneficial Cultural Consumption Season is the city's innovative initiative to broaden cultural consumption channels through market-based methods and to create a comprehensive platform for trading cultural products and services.

Since its establishment in 2013, it has been successfully held for 11 times. The duration of the event has extended from one and a half months in its inaugural year to four months this year, achieving wide coverage by operating on a seasonal basis. The number of participating companies has grown from over 190 in the fourth year to more than 485 this year, indicating a continuous improvement in the quality of cultural offerings by enterprises.

This year's event has included six sections with over 20 main activities. The event has also broadened its focus to include industrial parks, theaters, and bookstores. This establishes a new collaborative framework that spans all districts of Beijing and extends to neighboring Tianjin and Hebei province.
