Li Yakun, the head of the Baixiang County Sweet Potato Base, reported that this year they have expanded the cultivation of high-quality sweet potatoes to a total of 1200 mu, with an expected yield of over 2,100 tons of high-quality sweet potatoes.
This is expected to increase the local farmers' labor income by nearly 1 million yuan ($137,037) annually.
