SHOAC new season a big hit with music lovers

Chinese pianist Yuja Wang, who completed the same Rachmaninov concerto marathon in the Carnegie Hall in New York, will have a recital at SHOAC on Dec 5.
Also playing in the concert hall's new season are Sergei Davydchenko, the winner of the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition, Russian violinist Maxim Vengerov, the David Garrett Trio, Italian pianist Alexander Romanovsky, as well as renowned orchestras such as the Mariinsky Orchestra led by Valery Gergiev.
As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, SHOAC has put together a special series of shows to celebrate the occasion. This series will consist of the dance productions Anna Karenina and Eugene Onegin by the Eifman Ballet of St Petersburg, Israeli Kamea Dance Company's Carmina Burana, as well as the Red Detachment of Women, a repertoire by the National Ballet of China.
The series will also feature music groups such as the Moldovan National Symphony Orchestra, the Filarmonica Oltenia Craiova from Romania, the Arabic Maqam Ensemble, and Gurdjieff Ensemble.
