Mid-Autumn Salon for overseas friends held in Changzhou

The 2023 "I Love Changzhou" Mid-Autumn Salon for overseas friends took place at the Oriental Salt Lake Resort in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, on Friday.

The salon, with the theme of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, aimed to enhance cultural exchange and communication through traditional cultural exhibitions, introduction of Chinese and foreign festivals, and cross-border collaborative performances.

More than 60 foreign friends from more than 30 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Jamaica, and Pakistan, participated in the salon and dressed in traditional Chinese Hanfu.

The "I Love Changzhou" salon for overseas friends, an event held for 12 years in Changzhou, continues to foster international exchanges. Each quarter since 2012, a special theme has guided the gathering, inviting nearly 3000 foreign friends residing, working, and studying in Changzhou to partake in various activities.

The activities include immersing oneself in traditional Chinese culture, experiencing the city's latest developments and engaging in public welfare volunteer work. It aims to help foreigners, who have been called "New Changzhou people", better integrate into the city's vibrant community.
