Monogram Meat Snacks, a prominent US meat snack producer operating 13 facilities in seven states, with a workforce of over 3,600 employees, was recently fined $140,000 for employing children. This incident is part of a growing trend of child labor cases in the United States. In July, federal regulators said nearly 4,500 children had been found to be working in violation of federal child labor laws during the prior 10 months.
