China's photovoltaic cell sector posts brisk output growth

BEIJING -- China's photovoltaic cell sector maintained brisk expansion in the first three quarters of the year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed.

China's output of photovoltaic cells reached 384.28 gigawatts from January to September, soaring 63.2 percent year-on-year.

In September alone, the country's production of photovoltaic cells jumped 65.4 percent year-on-year to 51.4 gigawatts.
