The third international conference on contemporary studies of Chinese music in a global perspective, Contrast and Convergence in Chinese Music, took place at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing from Oct 20 to 23.
Since 2019, the event, initiated by the Central Conservatory of Music, aims to promote communication of international music experts and scholars on the exploration of Chinese music.
Issues, such as "music research under global cultural flows", "research on the contemporary value of Chinese traditional music" and "current and future research on professional music composition in China", have been discussed.
