China and Turkiye signed a memorandum of understanding in Ankara on Thursday on the translation and publication of classics, which aims to give fresh impetus to cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Wang Gang, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Nadir Alpaslan, vice-minister of Turkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, on behalf of the two countries, signed the memorandum of understanding, which is a manifestation of the joint efforts of the publishing, cultural, and academic communities of China and Turkiye to promote mutual learning and exchange.

According to the memorandum of understanding, both China and Turkiye will support the mutual translation and publication of classic and important works from both countries, using these works as a bridge for dialogue between the Chinese and Turkish people, promoting mutual learning and exchange between the two civilizations, and injecting humanistic power into the further development of China-Turkiye strategic cooperation.
