Changchun airport rolls out runway safety measures as snowfall hits

On Saturday and Sunday, the airport operations committee held meetings to promote contingency plans, including reducing flights, optimizing equipment for windproofing and insulation, and de-icing methods.

So far, the airport has deployed 14 de-icing vehicles and more than 70 snowplows and snowblowers for runway and taxiway clearance.

The airport operated 6 inbound flights and 4 outbound flights on Monday.
