Fudan University Shaoxing Week launched

The "Fudan University Shaoxing Week" was launched at Fudan University in Shanghai on Dec 19 with the aim of further enhancing school-city cooperation.

This was also the first event of the "Fudan University City Week".

To strengthen the integration and interaction of famous university and well-known cities, as well as to promote cooperation between the two sides, the university launched a series of activities under the "Fudan University City Week" to explore successful cases of Chinese path to modernization.

Using Yangtze River Delta cities like Zhejiang's Shaoxing as a starting point, the city and the school will spend a week displaying exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and encouraging more Fudan teachers, students to serve the local communities.

Fudan University and Shaoxing signed a strategic cooperation agreement in July regarding the building of a high-level innovation platform that would enhance scientific and technological achievements, talent exchanges and training.

In the five months since the signing of the agreement, the university has promoted the construction of laboratories and the Health Valley in Shaoxing. The first batch of Fudan University talent will also soon arrive in Shaoxing.

The university said it is looking forward to working more closely with local governments to carry out City Week activities next year. The university will also look to share development opportunities and seek high-quality development through personnel interaction, according to sources from the campus cooperation office of Fudan University.
