Xi'an has become the first city in China to exceed an annual operation of 5,000 train trips and a cumulative operation of over 20,000 train trips for the China-Europe Railway Express.

The China-Europe freight trains have laid the foundation for constructing a modern international logistics system oriented towards the Belt and Road Initiative.

The city has operated 5,139 train trips this year, showing a year-on-year growth of 15.6 percent, approximately double the national average growth rate.

The Xi'an International Port has improved its port efficiency by establishing an export consolidation center to achieve port area integration, connecting customs and railway data to provide businesses with one-stop services, and launching customized dedicated train services, among other initiatives.

It is also the country's first inland automated terminal, serving as a crucial international railway hub capable of meeting the annual demand for over 10,000 China-Europe freight train services.

The port serves 16,500 businesses and has contributed over 15 billion yuan ($2.1 billion) in customs duties to the country.
