Well, when people mention Southwest China's Yunnan province, they probably think of delicious food such as ham and Rushan, festivals like Water Splashing and Torch Festival, and the diverse languages of ethnic groups.

But its diversity is far more than this. With snowcapped mountains that stand silently, rainforests that nurture lives, mighty rivers that rush down and spectacular plateau lakes, Yunnan is China's most geographically diverse and colorful province.

Many people know the famous phrases that describe Yunnan: "Wind, Flower, Snow and Moon" and the "South of Colorful Clouds". But few ask for the cause behind the diversity of this land. In this video, you can find an answer from a geographical perspective.
