Veterinarian Bai Hua challenges expectations and becomes a role model
Regarding her popularity, she said: "I'm proud of it because I feel that I have done my best to help those I can help. It encourages me and gives me a sense of accomplishment."
She added she wants to encourage more young people through her efforts to join the veterinary industry. She wants to show the fun of her work through videos and let everyone know that being a veterinarian is not just dull.
She received many private messages from netizens saying they started studying veterinary medicine because of her videos. Now, Bai's team is expanding, with more veterinarians from the 1990s and 2000s joining. The youngest veterinarian on her team was born in 2004.
Bai was featured on the Top 10 Female News Figures of 2023 list launched by China Women's News in early January.
