MOSCOW - Russia is prepared to develop relations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in all areas, local TASS news agency reported Wednesday, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui arrived in Moscow on Sunday. He held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday, and they both met with Russian President Vladimir Putin shortly after they reached agreements following negotiations.

"The discussion was generally about bilateral relations, the situation on the Korean Peninsula," Peskov said, adding that international issues were also covered.

"We have repeatedly said ... that the DPRK is our very important partner. We are aimed at developing relations in all areas, including sensitive ones," Peskov noted.
