New business vitalities have emerged from packages as the express delivery volume of Jinhua in Zhejiang province exceeded 13.6 billion last year, making it China's largest city in terms of delivery volume for four consecutive years, Xinhua reported, citing State Post Bureau.

In addition to having the world's largest small commodity wholesale market, Yiwu located in northeast part of Jinhua city is actually an e-commerce capital, said Zhu Lanjun, Party secretary of Yiwu's market development committee.

Statistics show Yiwu completed 442.37 billion yuan ($61.93 billion) of e-commerce transactions in 2023, up 13.22 percent year-on-year. Among them, the cross-border e-commerce transaction volume reached 121.16 billion yuan, up 11.8 percent year-on-year.

China's hardware capital Yongkang, located in southeastern part of Jinhua, has actively embraced the e-commerce market in recent years, with continuous growth of express delivery business.

Data show that the express business volume of Yongkang reached 730 million pieces in 2023, an increase of 5.8 percent year-on-year.

China's cross-border e-commerce exports witnessed a 19.6 percent increase to reach 1.83 trillion yuan in 2023, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.

The rapid improvement of the internationalization level of China's express industry is an important force to promote the fast development of the cross-border e-commerce.

The export of China's self-owned brand products increased by 9.3 percent in 2023, up 1.7 percentage points in the share of total exports.

From the market's perspective, China's self-owned brand products have been exported to more than 200 countries and regions around the world.

Small parcels reflect the surging momentum of China's economy, and with a strong supply chain and logistics system, Chinese products continue to inject new vitality into the global consumer market.
