During the Spring Festival period, bustling rural markets in Northeast China have become tourist destinations — especially for younger adults.
Twenty-eight-year-old Wan Lei has been a regular visitor to the Kalun Market on the outskirts of Changchun, Jilin province, where customers can get various cuisine and ingredients, including fresh tofu, mahua (fried dough twists), fish, fruit and vegetables.
