A cold wave has impacted vast parts of China with blizzards and freezing rains, and many types of snow removal vehicles equipped with special devices have been deployed to relieve the roads. Take a look at the cool vehicles.
'Chuixuewang'
The snow removal vehicles equipped with turbofans were deployed along a major expressway in Central China's Hubei province. Amid the tremendous roar, torrents of hot air gushed out from the nozzles of the machines.
According to technicians, the "heart" of this snow blower was a retired aircraft engine and debuted for the first time in the snow removal work of the Hubei expressway.
This type of vehicle can blow away snow with a thickness of about 10 cm, covering a width of around 50 meters. It can rapidly melt accumulated snow and dry icy road surfaces, which is particularly helpful in clearing expressways.

The snow removal vehicles equipped with rollers in front, metal plates at the bottom and rear tubes to collect the melted snow water were also used in Hubei.
As the vehicle slowly drives through the icy road, a steady steam from the metal plate under the dispersion heats up acting like an iron, making the expressway dry and clean.
'Armored' vehicle
A special rail snow removal vehicle, also known as a snow removal "armored" vehicle, was used on the railroad across the Xilingol Grassland in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The "armored" vehicle can be seen as a special truck installed on a set of snow removal devices, with walking wheels under its chassis, making the snow removal vehicle dual-use for highway and railroad.
Its running speed hit up to 50 kilometers per hour on track, and 5 to 25 kilometers while removing snow.
Snow 'harvester'
Dragging a large piece of iron like a triangular ruler, the harvester can turn into a snow removal machine, which is suitable for both urban roads and rural highways. There have been around 40 such harvesters recently used for snow removal in Gushi county of Xinyang, Central China's Henan province.
