The fourth season of the travel reality show HAHAHAHAHA aired on Tencent's video platform on Saturday, offering viewers a captivating glimpse into the travels of actors Deng Chao and Chen He, pop idol Lu Han, comedian Wang Mian, former soccer player Fan Zhiyi, and rapper Dong Baoshi as they embark on an adventurous journey through Laos.

In a departure from tradition, the show ventures abroad for the first time, a decision hailed by director Wang Zhengyu as a means to rejuvenate the artists' creativity.

With previous seasons traversing China's diverse landscapes, from the northern city of Mohe to Kashgar in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the novelty of a new environment promises to ignite fresh inspiration and excitement among the cast.

"Lao people are welcoming to Chinese visitors," Wang says, reflecting on the warm reception encountered during filming. "Our time in Laos offered a firsthand glimpse into how the Belt and Road Initiative has brought opportunities and transformations to the local communities."

Traversing the scenic landscapes of Laos aboard the China-Laos Railway, participants engage with railway staff, shedding light on the project's profound impact on the lives of residents along its route.

Building upon the camaraderie forged over three seasons, Wang notes the harmonious dynamic among the five members, infused with humor.

"At its core, the reality show serves as a source of relaxation and enjoyment for viewers," Wang emphasizes.
