A freight train loaded with merchandise such as refrigerators, coffee machines, and ceramic sanitary wares destined for Central Asian countries departed from Nanchang International Land Port in East China's Jiangxi province, on March 31, 2024.
The train connecting Horgos border port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region with Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan, runs on a route that is 12 hours faster than traveling through Alataw Pass in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
The new route passes through five Central Asian countries and increases the openness progress of the inland ports.
