Beijing Wtown unveils City of Light program

Launching on May 18, Beijing Wtown introduced the "City of Light" initiative, a multifaceted program curated to delve into the cultural essence of the local region.
Spearheaded by Ni Yangping, chairman of China CYTS Tours Holding, the driving force behind Wtown's establishment and evolution, the program is geared toward fostering a seamless fusion of cultural, sporting, touristic, performance, and cinematic elements. Its primary aim is to intricately narrate the tales of Beijing Wtown and the historic Simatai Great Wall.
With aspirations to elevate Wtown into a premier attraction in North China and beyond, the initiative sets out to spotlight the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Cheng Bofeng, the mastermind behind the event's blueprint, expounded on the thematic underpinnings of the "City of Light", emphasizing its reliance on and celebration of the Great Wall's profound heritage.
Cheng detailed how the program will give rise to an array of antiquity-inspired artistic endeavors, including online dramas, live performances, and cinematic creations. By infusing these mediums with the spirit of ancient traditions, the "City of Light" program endeavors to captivate audiences and illuminate the enduring legacy of the Great Wall, enriching cultural experiences for visitors and locals alike.
