Children's Day-themed event celebrates unity and diversity

Featuring a stunning display of talent from children across the nation, the "Growing Up Together with Our Motherland" Children's Day-themed performance wowed audiences over the weekend at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

Co-organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, China Welfare Institute, and the National Center for the Performing Arts, this event received vital support from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and stood as a celebration of unity and diversity, the foundation said in a media release.

The foundation's Chairman Li Bin, also a senior political adviser, attended the event on Saturday.

More than 1,000 children and teenagers, including from Taiwan, and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, participated in this performance.

The show was divided into five chapters, featuring including music dramas, ethnic song and dance, and re-imagined Peking Opera.
