Confucius and Laozi statues bridge cultures in Montevideo

In a legendary encounter between two ancient Chinese philosophers, Confucius and Laozi, the discussion on dao — the fundamental way the world operates — and the significance of rites and benevolence unfolded, leaving a lasting influence on Chinese societal norms and cross-cultural interactions.

Recently, the profound teachings of these venerable sages have transcended borders and reached the streets of Montevideo, Uruguay, through the unveiling of two majestic bronze statues portraying Confucius and Laozi in their entirety.
