Documentary fest celebrates global voices in nature filmmaking

The International Outdoor Documentary Film Festival of China Award Competition concluded on Sunday in Shanghai, showcasing outstanding works in outdoor and adventure filmmaking worldwide.

This year's competition received 1,656 submissions from 105 countries and regions. Entries covered themes including extreme adventure and sports, nature ecology and environmental protection, and outdoor cultural lifestyles.

After multiple rounds of judging, 25 finalists competed for the top honors.

The Finnish documentary Lynx Man won the Best Nature and Conservation Documentary Award and Best Documentary Feature Award. The film documents a Finn's efforts to record the endangered lynx using hidden cameras.
