Wuxi hosts inaugural national aerospace information industry base
Eighteen companies signed strategic cooperation agreements for the commercial aerospace industry ecosystem, while over ten research institutes and corporate organizations issued a joint declaration.
Wuxi Economic Development District and Geovis signed an agreement to establish the first national comprehensive base for the aerospace information industry chain, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($412 million).
Zhou Wendong, deputy mayor of Wuxi, highlighted the city's efforts in driving the clustering of the commercial aerospace industry, leveraging industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing and software services.
Zhou emphasized the importance of aerospace information application services in the industry chain, noting the trillion-dollar potential of this sector.
The summit also featured an exhibition area with 55 participating companies showcasing various technologies and innovations in aerospace and related fields.
Multiple forums and exhibitions were held during the conference, focusing on the aerospace economy, commercial aerospace, low-altitude economies, and other relevant topics.
