BWI Group said on Wednesday that it expects 95 percent of the company's chassis products to be fully controlled by wire by 2035.

This goal is part of the company "All-by-Wire 2035" strategy. It vows to provide global customers with more smart mobility solutions, leveraging its expertise in brake-by-wire, active suspension, and intelligent systems and architectures.

As one of the latest milestones, BWI said it has recently secured two partnerships with two Chinese companies on the Electro-Mechanical Braking system, which will be massively produced in 2026.

BWI said its EMB underwent winter cold-weather testing in two consecutive winters in 2023 and 2024.

Leading automakers in North America, Europe and Asia have witnessed the testing and gave very positive comments and feedback about the cutting-edge technology and reliability.

The coming five years will be a critical period for the EMB technology's development, said Xiong Shusheng, professor at Zhejiang University Vehicle Research Institute.

He said EMB will account for 5 percent of the segment in five years. In the following decade, it will experience explosive growth, seizing a 20 percent share of the global brake-by-wire market.
