Science camp inspires young students
The University Science Camp, a weeklong event in Beijing that attracted more than 2,000 students and teachers from Chinese universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, China Agricultural University and the University Of Science & Technology Beijing, concluded on Friday.
More than 50 lectures were given by experts from various academic institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who shared inspiring stories with the young students.
During the event, 11 camps were provided, taking students to the labs and bases of those institutions to encourage students to learn more about science.
Students were also offered the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies in AI, the aerospace industry and food technology.
The camp was co-organized by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.
