Artistic renaissance: Liangma River businesses elevate summer economy
Business areas along Beijing's Liangma River in Chaoyang district have been introducing attractions and providing an artistic work and life atmosphere to take advantage of the summer economy.
Located in the eastern part of the capital, the Liangma River connects several business circles, including Sanlitun, Yansha, and SOLANA. It traverses Chaoyang Park, the largest urban park within the city's Fourth Ring Road.
One of the highlights in the area is Genesis Beijing, an international urban community that includes a workspace, a museum, a hotel, an art gallery, a 270-degree landscape exhibition hall, and several gardens. It aims to integrate modern workspaces, cultural and artistic exhibitions, and a premium lifestyle.
"Genesis Beijing is undergoing a comprehensive renewal this year, with a new brand strategy focused on comfort and artistic living," Zhang Li, the company's director and general manager, said.
This summer, the community hosted the Bvlgari Serpenti Infinite Tales exhibition, showcasing works by Chinese and international artists at the Genesis Art Gallery. The blend of new settings and models allows visitors to enjoy Beijing's traditional culture while experiencing the capital's modern, fashionable atmosphere.
"I went to the exhibition, which is so innovative, and it left me with a great impression," said Lan Lan, a young designer in Beijing. "Most importantly, it's free for the public. I think holding such exhibitions is a good way to bring luxurious style and art closer to the public."
Additionally, the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center, leveraging its prime location along the LiangmaRiver, has introduced an immersive experience in collaboration with the Yansha Pier.
Guests can enjoy private boat spaces, high-quality dining, and five-star services, creating a luxurious and leisurely boating experience.
"The new customized boat service offers more possibilities for high-end business meetings and creative weddings," said Lu Shanna, banquet and conference sales director at Kempinski Hotel Beijing. "A cocktail party on the Liangma River leaves a lasting impression on participants."
Recent rankings from several travel platforms have listed Beijing as the top travel destination in China. These diverse options enrich people's summer experiences and infuse boundless vitality into Beijing's booming summer tourism market.
