Farming culture is an integral part of Chinese culture. It is a folk culture centered on agricultural production, including farming, agricultural tools, agronomy and agricultural customs.

In recent years, Chongqing has carried out the protection, inheritance, development and utilization of agricultural cultural heritage. The city has unearthed nearly 1,000 agricultural cultural heritages, such as the Jiangjin Sichuan peppercorn cultivation system, the Shizhu Chinese goldthread production system and the Wanzhou red tangerine cultivation system.
