Tan Ruisong, former head of the Aviation Industry Corp of China, is being investigated for suspected severe violations of the Party disciplines and national laws, the country's top anti-corruption watchdogs said on Friday.
The probe was announced by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision online, with no more details being disclosed.
Public information shows that Tan, a native of Hunan province, was an engineer who worked in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, in the 1990s and early 2000s after graduating from an aviation college in Beijing.
The 62-year-old, who was once a political adviser, served as the chairman of the Aviation Industry Corp of China, the country's dominant aircraft maker, from May 2018 to March 2023.
