Diarra Boubacar, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) expert from Mali, has been working in China for nearly 40 years. Dubbed as the "African Bethune" by locals, he has provided medical care to many while volunteering in remote mountainous areas of Yunnan province. When asked about the title, he expressed humility, acknowledging that he feels honored but believes his contributions are modest compared to those of Norman Bethune. Boubacar also emphasized that health is crucial for prosperity and advocated for African countries to learn from China's successful poverty alleviation experiences.
