Hainan's cdf Sanya Intl Duty Free Shopping Complex marks 10 years of progress

Leveraging the beneficial policy of building the Hainan Free Trade Port in South China's Hainan province, China Duty Free Group (CDFG), led by its parent company, China Tourism Group, has become a key driving force in implementing Hainan's offshore duty-free policy and boosting domestic consumption. This year makes the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Sanya, Hainan province. Looking back to its achievements over the years, CDFG has not only driven duty-free shopping but also fulfilled the social responsibility as one of China's central enterprises. It contributed greatly to the rapid development of the Hainan tourism and retail market and showcased the potential of the Chinese tourism retail industry to the rest of the world.

Since the implementation of Hainan's offshore duty-free policy in 2011, as a pioneer of the policy, the duty-free shop in Sanya, operated by CDFG, has attracted global attention with their geographical and policy advantages. Over the past 10 years, cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex has relocated from the Dadonghai region to Haitang Bay and evolved into a landmark retail complex covering shopping, leisure, entertainment, dining and cultural displays. It is the first duty-free store in Hainan with a sales volume exceeding 100 billion yuan ($14.11 billion).
