"During the manufacturing process, each wire must be confirmed a dozen times, followed by further confirmation by quality inspectors until everything is flawless," she said. "After the wiring is completed, the operators' name tags will be permanently attached to the wire bundle strap until the train is retired."

For Yao, the spirit of craftsmanship means striving for excellence in one's work by continuously improving one's skills.

"There are many exceptional technicians with outstanding skills in our company," she said. "From them, I have learned that industrial workers can hone their skills and contribute more to the company through craftsmanship and innovation."

"Therefore, I have been improving and innovating my work, starting from upgrading blueprints, improving tools and setting standards, while also constantly summarizing and refining my approaches," she said. "I have summarized the technical challenges in improving wiring efficiency, which has increased production efficiency by 40 percent and reduced production costs in practical applications."

"Recently, I was awarded as one of the company's top ten outstanding young employees," she said. "I will stay at my post to handle each wire carefully and tighten every bolt."

"I hope to inspire more colleagues with my actions and collectively work towards creating a shining example for Chinese manufacturing," she added.

Han Junhong in Changchun contributed to the story.
