PHNOM PENH -- Hosts Cambodia defeated Chinese Taipei 3-2 in an international football friendly match at the Olympic Stadium here on Friday.

Chinese Taipei took the lead in the 44th minute after Cambodia midfielder Yudai Ogawa accidentally headed into his own net.

Entering the second half, Cambodia equalized in the 48th minute thanks to a strike from midfielder Min Ratanak, and then took the lead in the 62nd minute through forward Sieng Chanthea's effort.

Chinese Taipei drew level in the 83rd minute thanks to midfielder Lin Chen, but Cambodia sealed the win five minutes later when Ratanak scored his second of the game.

Cambodia currently sit 180th in FIFA's latest world rankings, while Chinese Taipei are in 166th spot.

The match was a warm-up before Cambodia are due to play in the upcoming 2024 ASEAN Championship in December.
