Pop star makes directorial debut

Confronted with crises in both her family and career, Qiu finds solace in her longtime boyfriend Qing Yun, who resigns from his job in another city to be by her side. Their relationship becomes more complicated as Qiu develops a special bond with Yin Chen, one of the troupe's makeup artists, a former performer who was forced to leave the stage following an injury.

The film was shot in Jinxi county in Lishui in Zhejiang province and, according to the producers, makes a feature of the area's scenery, as well as of distinctive landmarks such as the Yellow Emperor Temple.
