China's second domestically produced large cruise ship was named as Adora Flora City on Oct 25 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, which will also be its home port, according to its operator, Adora Cruises Ltd.
Slated for delivery by the end of 2026, the vessel is currently under assembly at its builder, China State Shipbuilding Corporation's (CSSC) Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd.
In comparison with the first China-made cruise ship Adora Magic City, the Adora Flora City is longer and bigger, with 2,130 cabins capable of accommodating 5,232 guests at full capacity.
"We are dedicated to expanding our fleet, optimizing deployment, and enhancing the guest experience," said Yang Guobing, chairman of Adora Cruises. "We will further develop strategies that integrate cruises with Chinese culture."
Adora Cruises' two cruise ships, Adora Magic City and Adora Mediterranea, have to date served nearly 380,000 passengers, home and abroad.
