Gunmen fire shots inside bar in central Mexico, at least 10 killed

MEXICO CITY -- At least 10 people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting attack inside a bar in the state of Queretaro in central Mexico, local authorities said Sunday.

The attack took place in the Los Cantaritos bar on Saturday night, when four armed people opened fire at the scene, killing seven men and three women, according to a report from the State Attorney General's Office.

"Four armed people arrived with long weapons aboard a van, which was identified and the license plate numbers were obtained," said Juan Luis Ferrusca, secretary of public security of the municipality of Queretaro, capital of the state.

According to the authorities, seven others were injured in the incident and were being treated in nearby hospitals.

So far, one suspect has been arrested.
