Village in Jilin benefits from photovoltaic cattle pasture
At a photovoltaic power station in Fuxian village, Shuangliao city, Jilin province, cattle leisurely graze under symmetrically arranged blue solar panels, forming a unique eco-friendly pasture.
The Fuxian Photovoltaic Power Station is the first photovoltaic-agriculture complementary project promoted by China Three Gorges Corporation. It has a total installed capacity of 190,000 kilowatts and covers a production area of 521 hectares with 257 livestock sheds.
Photovoltaic power generation and beef cattle breeding are integrated at the station, forming a new ecological development model of mutual benefit and symbiosis.
The station features solar panels installed on the roofs of livestock sheds and ground-mounted high-support structures, maximizing solar energy capture while creating a spacious breeding space.
