China-Brazil's green cooperation key to global climate action
As we mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, it is worth noting how, over the past 50 years, cooperation between China and Brazil has yielded fruitful results. Henrique Couto da Nóbrega, president of the Brazil-China Friendship Association, recently mentioned in an interview with China Daily that the partnership has evolved from economic ties to strategic collaboration across various sectors.
"Today, the relationship between China and Brazil goes beyond commodity trade. Chinese investments in Brazil are increasingly focused on high-tech and sustainable industries, such as electric vehicles and renewable energy," Henrique said.
He highlighted that China and Brazil are cooperating in the fields of clean energy and low-carbon agricultural technologies, aiming to tackle the climate crisis together and promote sustainable development.
Henrique expressed hope that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations will serve as an opportunity to look ahead and deepen cooperation for achieving sustainable growth in the future.
