International cultural industries expo opens in Shanghai

The YRD region has become one of the most powerful, innovative and open areas for the development of cultural industries. In 2023, there were 23,955 large-scale cultural companies in the region, recording a total revenue of over 4.43 trillion yuan ($612.29 billion), accounting for 34.27 percent of the national total. In 2022, the imports and exports of cultural products in the region exceeded $47.12 billion, taking up 26.1 percent of the national total, according to the organizer.
