Later, caretakers placed the male panda cub on the bed to interact with the female cub. The two pandas kept moving their bodies and snuggling with each other, prompting cheers from the crowd.
According to Ocean Park, the panda twins have grown teeth, with the female panda cub, initially weighing 122 grams at birth, now weighing 5.3 kg, and the male panda cub's weight increasing from 112 grams at birth to 5.5 kg.
Kevin Yeung, secretary for culture, sports and tourism of the HKSAR government, said that the HKSAR government, jointly with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Ocean Park, will collaborate with various parties in Hong Kong to organize a series of promotional activities, with the new Hong Kong giant panda family serving as Hong Kong's tourism ambassadors.
Furthermore, the third pair of giant pandas, An An and Ke Ke, gifted by the central government to Hong Kong, are in good condition and they are expected to meet the public in December, Yeung said.
