Wintering black-headed gulls arrive in Guizhou

A group of black-headed gulls migrating south for the winter recently arrived at Jinhai Lake in the Qixingguan district of Bijie, Guizhou province.

In recent years, flocks of the gulls have found Qixingguan to their liking, and their numbers have been increasing. This year, the first 100 or so gulls arrived at Jinhai Lake in mid-November. The improving ecological environment of the Jinhai Lake Tourist Area makes it an ideal habitat for migratory birds.
