Australian scholar: Green development gathering pace in China
"You can see very clearly that this is a type of green development that's taking place and many other places across China," said Roland Boer, an Australian professor in the school of philosophy at Renmin University of China in a recent interview with China Daily on November 2.
During his visit to a village in Zhenjiang, East China's Jiangsu province, he was deeply impressed by China's ecological development. "It's very fertile, there are lots of vegetables here in the backyard," he added.
His visit took place during the 4th International Conference on Marxist Literature Collections and Studies, themed "Marxism and Chinese Modernization," co-hosted by the Information and Documents Department of the Institute of Party History and Literature and Nanjing University from November 2 to 3.
