In November, Guo Shun and his colleagues visited ports and terminals in Nansha district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, to solicit suggestions on revising the Maritime Law. The draft amendment to the law was disclosed online by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature. As head of the outreach office of the NPC Standing Committee's Legislative Affairs Commission in Nansha, Guo is responsible for collecting legislative advice and opinions from the public.
